Upper Elementary Linky Party and some pictures!

I was SUPER excited to see that Fabulous 4th Grade Froggies started an upper elementary linky party...I just had to hop on board!  I love checking out other teachers' blogs, especially similar grade levels. =)  Head on over to link up your blog and find some new bloggy buddies too! =)
It's definitely going to take me a while to check out all these new blogs!  =)


I also wanted to add the pictures of our Take a Bite Out of Summer writing project that I posted about yesterday.  (For some reason it wasn't letting me upload the pic.)  The color doesn't stand out as much as I'd hoped, crummy cell phone camera...
 
Here is the other project that we worked on, their math mystery pictures, they really love making these! 
 5 1/2 days more to go!!! =)  We are in the home stretch!

    Yes, still in school, and this year we are getting out earlier than usual. Normally we have quite a few snow days that push us back until around the 18th/20th of June! (yuck!) So, this isn't too bad in comparison. They loved making the Take a Bite projects. They keep asking when they can take them home, they're afraid that I'll forget and they won't be able to keep them. lol

      The math mystery pictures came from an older version of this book:

      A colleague of mine had it and shared, the kids loved it! They keep asking to do more and more of them. I think that this will become a must do for my classes each year they enjoyed it so much. =)

    Love the title of your blog! "can't make this stuff up" is definitely accurate. Another line that I find myself thinking is "things I thought I'd never have to say". I'm a new follower! -)

      Thanks Meghan! I couldn't agree more, almost every day there's something that makes want to say "Seriously?!?!?" lol This year in particular has been quite eventful, who knows what could still take place in the last 4 1/2 days of school! =)
